Castrolanda
There is room for everything on Castrolanda’s trajectory, except for chance and improvisation. That is because each step was planned since its creation, in 1951, with a mindset focused on shared growth. The arrival of the 5 first Dutch families to the town of Castro had more than the Brazilian Migration Group – it had an unconditional faith in the future. The arrival of the cooperative was fundamental for the development of the town, which is nowadays one of the biggest milk producers in the country. Ever since then, the seed of the idea of sustainable migration was planted on the Campos Gerais, and the bases for a sound performance were established. Like all good ideas, Cooperativa Castrolanda was expanding and reaping the fruits of a moder management that was capable of attracting ever more associates.
